Roses make an excellent cut flower and these large blooms will last for up to 2 weeks once cut. They are also a popular dried flower. The plants have an upright habit, & are able to tolerate poor soils and some dryness. The red hips of the Manchu Rose will stay on the plant through the winter, providing some wonderful color as well as the birds who will come to nibble on them happily.
