Refund policy
We offer a 30-day return window for eligible items, which means you have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return.
Eligibility for returns
To be eligible for a return, items must be:
- In the same condition as received
- Unused and unopened
- In original packaging
- Accompanied by a receipt or proof of purchase

If your return is approved, we will provide instructions on how and where to send your item. Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.
Please note: As we work with trusted third-party growers and fulfillment partners, return addresses may vary and will be provided upon approval.
Damaged, incorrect, or issue orders
Because live plants are delicate and time-sensitive, we ask that you inspect your order immediately upon delivery.
If your item arrives damaged, defective, incorrect, or in poor condition, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at hello@theplantseed.com, and include clear photos of the issue (product and packaging). We’ll evaluate the situation and provide the best resolution, which may include a replacement or refund.
Non-returnable items
Due to their perishable nature, live plants and seeds are non-returnable once shipped, except in cases where they arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect.
The following items are not eligible for return:
- Live plants and seeds (unless damaged, defective, or incorrect on arrival)
- Perishable goods
- Custom or special-order items
- Sale items
- Gift cards
- Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases
Exchanges
We do not offer direct exchanges. If your item is eligible for return, the fastest way to receive a replacement is to place a new order once your return or refund has been approved.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return (if applicable), we will notify you of the approval status. If approved, refunds are issued to your original payment method and are typically processed within 10 business days. Please note that banks and credit card providers may take additional time to post the refund.
